At Encompass:
• Worked with client, Brown-Forman, to build a detailed 18 month schedule and conceptual estimate to
design-build a $60MM whiskey barrel cooperage. This included deadlines for the Owner provided FFE to
meet. The project came in under budget and all milestone dates were completed on time.
• Then as Owner’s Representative and Construction Manager, took over a $20MM project for Harlow’s
Casino expansion. The project was behind schedule with budget issues. The project was turned around
with strict adherence to a revised accelerated schedule (while coordinating with existing operations to keep
the casino and hotel operating) and negotiated value engineered buy-outs. The client’s openings were on
time and completed at cost for the contractor.

Next as Owner’s Representative for Pinnacle Entertainment, managed the overall 16 month schedule,
governmental compliance, and reporting to corporate of the new $200MM Belterra Park, a casino and
thoroughbred horse race track. The client opened all venues on time as established at the beginning of the
job.
Finally, in a pre-construction role, provided Churchill Downs Racetrack with detailed schedules and
budgets for the viability of several non-disclosed large capital projects.
At C-TeQ:
As founding president, oversaw all operations and management for C-TeQ Construction Management &
Contracting, a firm with multi-million dollar volumes annually. Profitably demonstrated expertise in the areas
of business operations, staff management, finance, and brand and reputation building in the local commercial
construction market. Coordinated multiple projects and teams simultaneously, while bidding and negotiating new
work with an emphasis on the design-build delivery method. Project success strengths:

backlog of $10M at the time of departure.

Garage for HealthTrust, Inc. This was a $10.5 M project with one 3-story building and a 7-story pre-cast parking
deck in Charlotte, NC.
• Construction management for a new Hospital project for Columbia/ HCA Inc. /Doctors Hospital of
Sarasota. A $14 M project of a 5-story replacement hospital in Sarasota, FL.
1992- 1994 Construction Management work with Rudolph & Sletten, Inc.(acquired by Perini in Dec
’05), a $700 Million CM/GC firm based in the San Francisco, CA (Silicon Valley) area included:
• New Marine R&D Laboratory for Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI). A $16 M engineering
and science building project in Monterey, CA.
• New $1.2 M Marine Research Expedition & Staging building project for MBARI in Monterey, CA.

1987-1990 Work with BE&K, Inc., a $2.5 Billion engineering & construction company in Birmingham, AL
• ’88-’90: In Birmingham, AL, prepared manpower reports; worked extensively with Primavera scheduling software
and CPM schedules in the Planning and Scheduling Department. Performed conceptual estimates, as a team member
of the Estimating Group, on large industrial projects such as pulp and paper mills, boilers, and de-inking facilities
for Champion, Weyerhaeuser, and International Paper.
• ’87: In Chattanooga, TN at DuPont’s Textile/R&D Plant, field surveyor for mechanical & structural layout and
worked on the Civil Engineer crew building temporary structures and erecting multi-story scaffolding platforms.
